About Me
Growing up, I had a deep love for sports, even though I wasn’t the most skilled athlete. Realizing that a career as a professional athlete wasn’t in the cards, I set my sights on working within the sports industry. Thanks to the opportunities I’ve had while attending the University of Evansville, I’ve been able to take significant steps toward turning that dream into a reality.
My Story
I grew up in the small village of Rochester, located southeast of Springfield, Illinois. From an early age, I enjoyed playing baseball and football in the living room with my older brother and father. However, my true passion lies in storytelling. No matter the toy—whether it was Star Wars Galactic Heroes, Legos, or wooden Thomas the Tank Engines — I was always creating narratives, complete with sound effects, origin stories, plot twists, and conflicts.
As I grew older, my love for storytelling evolved. In my teenage years, I found a new outlet in sports video games, particularly EA Sports' FIFA 15. That game played a pivotal role in shaping who I am today. Through FIFA 15, I discovered Leicester City while playing Career Mode—a choice that led me to support the team in real life just a year before they defied 5,000-to-1 odds to win the Premier League.
The rest, as they say, is history.
My Football Journeys
My time abroad staying in Grantham, England truly sparked my desire to explore what different football teams all across the world have to offer. At first, I planned on going to about 5 games while abroad. Then 10. Then 15. Then 20. And then in the end I ended up setting a target for 30 matches for the semester. Safe to say the video will reveal if I achieved the elusive 30 for 30.
